Darrell Campbell is a seasoned government relations strategist and public affairs consultant with over 26 years of experience advocating on behalf of businesses and industries across federal, state, and local levels in South Carolina. As the Founder and Principal of Campbell Consulting Group, a bipartisan governmental affairs firm, Darrell has built a distinguished reputation for navigating complex policy landscapes and advancing client priorities through strategic engagement and coalition building.

A proud graduate of the University of South Carolina, Darrell launched his consulting firm with a strong foundation in public policy and a vision for empowering organizations to influence change. One of his earliest clients, Carolina Power & Light (now Duke Energy), marked the beginning of a longstanding record of representing major corporations and industry leaders. Over the years, Campbell Consulting Group has served an impressive roster of clients including Electrolux, the Carolina Panthers, AFL Telecommunications, Comcast, Pfizer, Fluor Corporation, and numerous trade associations. Past clients also include Sonoco and BASF, underscoring the firm’s breadth and depth in representing diverse sectors.

In addition to his consulting work, Darrell serves as a Board Member of Optus Bank and its holding company, where he contributes his expertise in governance and executive leadership. He currently chairs the Personnel and Compensation Committee, playing a key role in shaping the strategic direction and talent management of one of the nation's few Black-owned banks committed to advancing economic justice.

Darrell is also a successful entrepreneur and community builder. He is the Co-Founder of Brownstone Construction Group and Brownstone Design, a full-service construction and architecture firm established in 2005. Headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina, the firm has expanded with offices in Charleston, SC; Greensboro and Charlotte, NC; and Savannah, GA. Under his leadership, Brownstone has become a trusted name in the industry, known for delivering excellence in design, project management, and construction services throughout the Southeast.

Through his public affairs work, business ventures, and civic engagement, Darrell Campbell continues to be a driving force in shaping economic development and public policy that supports inclusive growth and innovation across the region.
